Dre Geneviève Bouchard est professeure titulaire à l’École de psychologie de l’Université de Moncton où elle y a aussi occupé les postes de directrice adjointe et de directrice. Elle y enseigne la psychopathologie et le développement adulte depuis près de 30 ans. Ses travaux de recherche portent sur la psychologie clinique (notamment la santé mentale et la psychopathologie), le développement adulte (par exemple, l’impact de la personnalité) et la psychologie de la famille et du couple. Elle est l’auteure de près d’une soixantaine d’articles scientifiques et chapitres de livre dans ces domaines. Les résultats de ses travaux de recherche ont été cités plusieurs milliers de fois dans les périodiques scientifiques, en plus d’avoir fait l’objet d’une couverture médiatique importante dans les journaux et périodiques grand public, tels que le Discover Magazine, Psychology Today et le magazine Forbes.
